Massive Lego Map Has Europe Covered

 
A group of die-hard Lego fans in Europe have gone and created their continent in Lego-form, with monuments included. A huge geeky achievement

It's no secret that we here at GeekTech are massiveLegofans, so imagine our excitement when we stumbled across a massive all-Lego hand-made map of Europe, monuments included! The idea to build the giant map, dubbed Euromap, was kickstarted at a 2009 Lego Fan Weekend event, and after months of planning a group of five dedicated European Lego fans got to work on the huge task.

After much support from other Lego fans (a crowd-sourced effort if you will), 53,500 bricks later, and six months of building the map was completed in September this year to share with the geeks of the world.

Sure, it's low-tech, but it's so geeky that we just had to share:
